Today I am throwing it back to April 1990!
This was my very first teen magazine (that wasn’t a fan-obsessed magazine like Bop, Tiger Beat, etc) I wasn’t a teen yet, but my best friend and I bought it and poured over it on her front lawn.
I want to make a joke about it being just 12 years ago, but now I’m just depressed thinking about it.
The fashion is still very 80’s since it was just four months into 1990. So we are seeing bright colors, full brows, fluffy hair and tight leggings. Most of the makeup tips still apply today, you would be surprised!
The cover model is Molly Brenner. According to this post, she is the winner of the Model Search. Looking at the 1985 cover is hilarious, these teenage girls (with the exception of Molly) look like middle aged women with their hairstyles!
The towel picture is like Cassie scrubbing her face with a towel. Nope! Don’t do that!
