Round 2 of Kendall’s collab with Kylie Cosmetics!
Just what I needed! To spend more money that I do not have! But when there’s a solid palette, it’s hard for me to pass up on a great palette to travel with! I wasn’t about to sleep on this collection because I did on the previous one with regrets! I had wanted it when it was announced but couldn’t afford it when it first released. The second time, it sold out before I could pick up my wallet. Finally, the third time, I was able to get most of it!
See my review & swatches of the previous Kylie Cosmetics Kendall Collection here.
This time, I wasn’t fucking around. Neutrals? Yeah, I’ll take it!
Like the last wave, I would have liked to see videos from the brand about this collection. Kendall’s back story about the creative choices, as well as tutorials done on Kendall. It would have been nice to have a bit more connection to the makeup collection. There is a short video of Kylie applying the makeup. Also included is a clip of Khloe and Kris seeing the collection with the truck.
Kendall Collection Bundle, $137
First, I am annoyed that the PR box was $450! I liked the box, the autographs are a bonus. But the price was absurd! Is it really necessary to charge $313 more?
Second I am annoyed that I paid $137 and now the price has reduced to $125, a week or two later. But why? I like to save a buck too.
However, I am happy that it came with a free sticker sheet! It’s super cute and I love the illustrations!
Kendall Pressed Powder Palette, $49
An all-matte neutral palette with a tiny pop of color. Super Famous Clips, a pink, and Two Shots For Good Luck may look neutral, but it is a pale lavender.
You are about to see different jpgs of the same thing for Pinterest purposes. Just bear with me.
The shades as described on the Kylie Cosmetics website:
- Big Sister (eggshell matte)
- We Get It You’re Perfect (light nude matte)
- The Kendall To My Kylie (peachy coral matte)
- Two Shots For Good Luck (light lavender matte)
- Super Famous Clips (vibrant pink matte)
- HorsegirlKJ (burnt orange matte)
- Go Off Sis (cool grey matte)
- Kourt’s Dress (warm tan matte)
- Not Not Drinking (medium brown matte)
- Jenner Genes (cool brown matte)
- The Fun Aunt (dusty rose matte)
- Ky & Kenny (deep purple matte)
- Equestrienne (orange brown matte)
- Legs For Days (creamy beige matte)
- Scorpio Szn (terracotta rose matte)
- It’s a Jenner Thing (chestnut brown matte)
- Brown Eyed Babes (espresso brown matte)
- Different But The Same (black matte)
If any shades are missing from this palette, (for your ideal collection of neutrals), they probably had been covered in the previous one. A matte highlight brow bone shade (for me personally) is missing from this one. Big Sister or Legs For Days will work on any skin tone deeper than mine. I love to use Model Energy from the previous palette. So much that it is almost gone! Two Shots For Good Luck is too lavender to use as a brow bone highlight, but works really great as a lid shade. It’s so pigmented that I was able to do a cut crease without concealer!
Orangey blending transition shades are also in the previous palette, and they really warm up a look for me! The two palettes do get used together. Mostly because I have them both out for the photo shoot!
It’s a nice compact neutral palette. Are they boring? Sure. But I use them daily, therefore necessary. It’s much easier to travel with than JSC’s Orgy! I won’t hesitate to take this palette on my next trips with me!
Four of the shades are pressed pigments and the official website says it is not for use in the eye area. You know that’s just for legal reasons. I mean where else is it gonna go? Your nose?
If you need my skin tone/usual foundation shade for reference it’s Mac NC15, Make Up For Ever 117/Y225, Becca’s Shell, Nars Gobi.
Kendall Blush & Highlighter Cheek Quad, $40
The swatches are in direct sunlight. First blended out, and a heavy swatch.
Normally this product would be applied to a face with foundation applied, allowing the products to stick better and show more pigmented.
818 Please- Light gold cream blush
She Does It All- Brick cream blush (the site describes it as a dusty rose)
Love U Sister- Light gold pressed powder
Don’t Be Dramatic- Pale Rose pressed powder (the site describes it as a light mauve)
If you wanted to wear highlighter like Kendall, don’t forget to extend 818 Please from the high cheekbones to your temples!
I think the concept of a half powder/half cream face palette is great! I think Kylie Cosmetics should release a permanent line with palettes that suit different skin tones. This could be a popular product! I would definitely buy one that suited me a tad better. While I can pull the Kendall palette off, I think I would like stronger highlighter. I’m still disappointed that I never got the Spotlight highlighter stick. As for the cream blush, the brick color isn’t the right shade for me, (while I do think it will look amazing on others.) I can wear this, but it’s not my favorite blush shade on my face. I’ve still been wearing it though! The powder blush is subtle and suits me just fine, but I personally like something brighter.
The packaging is a cute lilac rectangle with rounded corners. This could be nice to put in your makeup bag in case you need to touch up! I can only hope I don’t get the compact irreversibly dirty!
Kendall Lip Crayon Set, $32
While I love to tell people that Kylie’s Lip Pencils will apply over a lip mask. These crayons do not apply well over a heavy lip balm! You’ll need clean lips for these to apply pigmented.
As the official description says, these are non-drying. It makes me like them a lot better than her liquid lipsticks, which are super drying (at least the old formula was!)
The shades are all neutral. Not the most interesting, but Kendall isn’t really known for bold lip looks. We don’t need to be exciting everyday. As pictured below, the swatches are:
• Ken out of Ken lip gloss
• Iconic Duo
• As We Should
• Low Maintenance
Kendall Lip Gloss, $16
Ken Out of Ken is a light peachy nude.
This gloss has a cooling sensation, which made me think it was a lip plumper. According to the website, it contains peppermint oil, so it’s not really a plumping gloss. Just visually if you apply it the right way!
Nothing beats the gloss from the previous collection. Can I Borrow That? has been used to death! It will run out at this pace. Kylie, I beg of you, re-release it!
The Kendall Collection can be purchased by KylieCosmetics.com and Ulta.com
I am surprised that this second wave didn’t sell out like the first one did. I am unsure of it’s because they produced enough inventory, or if the Kylie hype has died down after the re-formulation. Or maybe consumers are just sick of neutrals!
I’m not! You can count on me! In fact Lunar Beauty has a pretty new neutral palette out….
Kendall Products
I swear this makes me look like a crazy fan girl, but I’m not. I don’t even watch their shows! I just like Kendall’s style and I collect makeup. I own things from other people and fandoms too!
My original Kendall Palette from her first collab with Kylie is super dirty! I’ve taken it on a few trips with me! This is how much I like it. It’s has the basic shades I need to make a look complete, and to have a natural makeup look cause sometimes I go too hard and the situation does not always call for it!
I have regrets not buying Kendall’s Olive fragrance from KKW Fragrance. I’ve smelled Amber, but didn’t fall in love it. But with the clearance sale, the collector in me wants it. I did get Bae and Wifey because I am obsessed with BFF! Bae, I love too. It’s similar to BFF. Wifey was actually a different collection that was more floral. I’m not terribly into it.
I really hope Kim re-launches old fragrances in her re-brand. She probably wont though! I still want Ride or Die, Peachmoji and Vibes!
I also have the Moon Whitening Pen, I got it at CVS. The upside is that it doesn’t make my sensitive teeth hurt! The downside is, I am unsure if it works. I am told by a few hygienists that my teeth aren’t really stained and I don’t need really need whitening. My goal is to get them so white that people think I’ve gone too far. (I am thinking Veneer-level white, but I don’t really want veneers.)
While I am not sure if it actually works, it’s an extra pampering step hat makes me think I am doing something to improve myself.
I don’t have 818 Tequila. See? I’m not giving them all my money. Just with beauty products!
I’d say this is for anyone who is looking to expand neutral eyeshadows/lip colors in their collection, needs a small enough palette to travel with, or if Kendall is your favorite sister!
What’s the update on me?
I had a
