For my birthday trip in Las Vegas, I stayed at The Hilton at Resorts World, where I stayed at two months prior for Sick New World. It was so convenient because it was within walking distance to the festival grounds. (Hint for those who will be attending upcoming festivals there!) The stay was comfortable, and there were so many interesting dining options, so it was an easy choice to stay there again.
I planned to visit the Stranger Things store, which I will be sharing with you today.
@ineedthisunicorn The Stranger Things store in Las Vegas! Located at the Showcase Mall near Coca Cola Store and M&M World, next to the MGM Grand. Ask your rideshare app to drop you off at Flyover, which is a good spot to get dropped off. #strangerthings #netflix #strangerthingsstore #netflixstore #lasvegas #vegas #vegasvacation #80saesthetic #1980svibes #scifi #sciencefiction ♬ Stranger Things – Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein
We may have to wait awhile for the final season of Stranger Things, but the Netflix Store has brought us a Stranger Things pop up on the Las Vegas Strip to hold us over!
Here is a tip to get to the Netflix Store:
The address is: 3785 S Las Vegas Blvd Suite #102, Las Vegas, NV 89109
It is located at The Showcase Mall, right near M&M World and Coca Cola Store. (As far as I could see, it’s not what you’d think of as an actual mall.) The Showcase Mall is located next to MGM, but you may have to walk a bit longer if you choose to get dropped off at MGM instead. I believe it drops you off inside the garage and it’s a bit of a walk inside the MGM just to get outside. So I’d suggest selecting “Flyover” if you decide to use a rideshare. When searching on Lyft, it prompted me to make the stop at Flyover, which is a ride simulation, just a short walk away across a small side street called MGM Road. It drops you off on the side of the Showcase Mall, where it is convenient to be dropped off. All you need to do is walk South, along the street and you’ll find the Netflix/Stranger Things store toward the MGM. To get inside is just an escalator ride down.
They had many different themed rooms and merchandise: The Byers living room with the infamous Christmas Light Alphabet, Hawkins High, The Arcade, Starcourt Mall, SurferBoy Pizza, and rooms dedicated to the Demogorgon and Vecna himself. Much of the merch was tempting but the prices were not 1980’s pricing!
If you are a Stranger Things fan and happen to be in Vegas, this store is absolutely worth a visit! It’s not just things to buy but has many installations and photo ops for you and your friends or family.
Admittedly, I wanted Eddie’s guitar but it was a whopping $50! Online it’s on sale for $40.50. Also available is a real guitar for $4,700.
I really loved these two metal-inspired shirts, but I already had the two below in my arms and that was already $80! I absolutely had to get the Hellfire Club one! The first one’s design is reminiscent of the Choose Your Own Adventure books. More currently, the art of Steven Rhodes! I guess it shouldn’t have bought the same style shirt, but oh well. I still like them.
Since it was indeed the Netflix store, they had a small selection of merch from a few other shows. There was a wall of Bridgerton, and this tiny selection for The Witcher.
You can find a lot of the same items on the official Netflix store online, I saw a lot of things $10 cheaper online! I however, did not see the two shirts I wanted.
In the same area is the Coca Cola store and M&M World, which could be another fun activity for your group. I have never gotten the chance to visit either. The Coca Cola store has a few different flights you can choose from, including Coca Cola from around the world. But we decided to head south toward MGM instead. Earlier that day I saw a TikTok video for Snack Daddy, and they said they were located at the MGM in Vegas. Well, it is not a stand alone store, but they have a display inside two of the convenience stores.
I am not sure if they will still be there by the time you visit, but if you are looking for the Snack Daddy displays, one is the store at the front lobby, the other is on the lower level. They look like typical general stores with souvenirs. The one at the lower level had a slightly larger selection, but I was glad to have gone to both. As I am writing this, it’s two months after I visited and the Snack Daddy website seems to be closed. But there are so many different websites that sell limited edition and junk food from other countries! I love that these shops carry exotic snacks along with your standard favorites. Variety!
This was my haul in the end. My favorite thing was the Black Truffle Lays (they’re like Pringles, but different.) The worst thing was the Lays Shabu with Sesame Sauce. I LOVE hot pot and sesame sauce, I thought I was LOVE this! Ugh, it is lamb flavored. I cannot stand lamb! And no where on the package did it say anything about any meat flavoring. Very disappointing, thankfully the Spicy Hot Pot one did not have the same lamby flavor.
Before going to my friend’s house, I stopped by Sugarfina inside Resorts World and bought a bunch of gifts for my friends. My favorite thing from this was the Pink Diamond gummies, which are a delightful strawberry! I’m buying them again! I bought an obscene amount of junk food on this trip. I call it road food. You need it to survive the 10 hour drive to and from.
For videos on where I dined in Vegas, please check out my TikTok! I have videos on Fuhu, Bar Zazu, Kusa Nori and Gatsbys in Resorts World, and Vanderpump Garden and Cafe Lola at Cesars. If I covered them in this post, it would never get posted!
I have many, many things on my to-do list. I am getting through it! But Baldur’s Gate 3 is also calling…
