Imagine a majestic unicorn with an iridescent coat and ZAP! Neon yellow-green flashes to shock your eyes! That’s the vibe this pressed pigment from Give Me Glow Cosmetics brings.
I had wanted to do an indie brand collective of different cool products. However, I think it might be better if I did one brand at a time so they can each shine. I want to make sure each indie brand gets the attention they deserve! Behind every one of these brands is a woman who is trying to live her dream. I know… I’m one of ‘em!
I only own the one product from Give Me Glow Cosmetics, but browsing the website it looks like there are a lot of fantastic products! My budget is the only thing holding me back. But you know I’d buy them all if I could!
I saw this gorgeous pressed pigment on an indie makeup news Instagram account. Even if it didn’t have “unicorn” in the name, it still caught my attention. I wanted to try it and spread it across my whole face! I gravitate toward duo-chromatic and multi-chromatic shades, so it would have been added to cart regardless!
As described on Give Me Glow’s website:
She is a white base with pastel strong electric green and yellow shifts but strong pink with a flash.
In the pan, this pigment looks iridescent. Hits of pink, lilac, an aqua-ish green, plus yellow greens, on a white base. But on my skin, it’s a bright, sparkle-packed chartreuse. If you wince at the thought of wearing a yellow-green highlighter, I’d say this might change your mind! It may be a crazy color, but it’s too pretty to ignore!
As a cheek highlighter, it looks very intense, but it’s fun and I indeed wear this out. I can see the pink in low-light, but you see mostly straight up glittery chartreuse. It’s not for those who prefer a subtle glow-from-within. If you’re a spot-me-from-space type, this is for you!
As an eyeshadow, I LOVE this as an inner corner highlight. It’s SUPER intense and give your that brightness and POW that makes you look awake! My favorite look is to wear this with a metallic gold on the lid. And pop Electric Unicorn in the tear duct. They’re both different types of yellow that bounce off each other. I was going to do a look and post photos, but I seem to be having stalker issues, which is making me very uncomfortable. If I get over being creeped out, I’ll edit this blog post and publish one in the future.
I hope to see Give Me Glow come out with more of these duo-chromatic pressed pigments. It’s so intensely pigmented, I want them in every color imaginable! I do not own any of Jeffree Star’s Extreme Frost highlighters, so I cannot compare this with his product. But it’s a more affordable alternative if you need that POW! highlighter in your life.
You can purchase this 37mm pan at GiveMeGlow.com for $22.

I don’t think many people noticed, but my website kept going down this month. I’ve changed hosts so there shouldn’t be any issues anymore! I have a HUGE Escada Summer fragrance post coming up. I’ve been writing that blog post for 9 years, no joke!
