Small Businesses need help this holiday season! I don’t have to tell you that large companies raked it in with their convenience while small indie businesses suffered greatly, many closing their doors for good. I was determined to thrive and keep creating, even though owning my business is a really just an expensive hobby.
Before the pandemic, I had unicorn sticker sheets printed by Sticker Mule. I was so excited to launch these stickers with a giveaway, complete with a Jeffree Star eyeshadow palette. Then the lockdowns hit and honestly it didn’t feel right. Many people feel very defeated, myself included. I wanted to make some art that will bring a bit of happiness whenever you look at it.
During this Quarantine, I have been working on developing new skills, and subscribed to Skillshare to learn Graphic Design. I have also been creating repeating patterns and new art for my store!
If you rather browse right now, click this link to visit my shop! But keep reading to find your coupon code!
On my giveaway survey, I asked what people wanted and they wanted unicorns! It is the brand name, even though it’s not actually about unicorns. It’s about stuff you cannot get. You wanted unicorns so you have more unicorn options now! These are made and ready to mail! To make the offer even better you will be sent a free sticker sheet with any purchase between now and December 24th. (It is a single sheet of 12 stickers, and not the die-cut stickers included in the bundle.)
The sticker bundle is also available and comes with a Holographic Unicorn Sticker and a Cosmic Drippy Pizza Sticker!
I have the sticker bundle in-stock and ready to ship! Because I personally packaged these, you will get a handwritten thank you note!
I realize only after sending the file to print, that the cheesy drips look like dick ‘n balls. Every designer’s nightmare. There was nothing I could do at that point. So just enjoy your dick ‘n balls pizza, ok? This brand was never meant for kids anyway! ????
Quote that whole paragraph and post it on the wall. I said all of that, I can’t hide.
I know it seems random. But my brand reflects on my own personal interests. For a long time, the Dodge Challenger was my unicorn. The dream car I thought I would never ever in a million years, ever own! And here it is, it’s mine.
I grew up with muscle cars in my household. My uncle had a 70’s Camaro and my grandmother an 80’s Camaro. My second car ,that I owned until this year, was a Mustang. Every single one of those cars were in black, and therefore my dream car had to be in black. When I was younger I wondered why they don’t make vintage muscle car exterior with a modern interior and safety features. In the past several years, I kept seeing this amazing looking car on the road. I kept asking, “What is that?” And every time, it was a Challenger. It was exactly what I wanted with it’s vintage style and aggressive looks. It’s the best looking car on the market, nothing else will do.
This vector art is of my new car that I got this year. The fire represents the vanity plate I got for it. The plate is inspired by my World of Warcraft main of 16 years! If you hold the sticker in the angle I intended, it’s popping a wheelie as Demons do. Um… my car is not a Demon, but I did name it The Demon. Deal with it.
The name of the sticker design also pays homage to one of my favorite bands. Beta males, do not email me and ask me which album I like and rage about how Old In Flames is better than New In Flames which is 20 years old now and how you also hate New New In Flames. I listen to all the albums as a normal fan would. Ladies, this gives me an idea of a t-shirt concept that makes fun of guys who rage at women for wearing band tees. “Do you even listen to that band? Name one song!” Absolutely ridiculous!
I have more muscle car ideas for stickers and t-shirt designs in the works, but this holographic die-cut Challenger In Flames sticker is printed now, ready to mail to you!
License plates are obviously public. Just don’t stalk me. It’s very annoying and I have enough trouble as it is.
Don’t judge me too harshly with my un-tinted windows and front plate. I live in California, I cannot afford to get pulled over every day. I am looking to get black wheels, they just cost a lot.
I designed this for the sticker, but I also put it on a tee! Pictured is the women’s muscle tank. I also have a men’s fit t-shirt and a women’s fitted tee in the shop! The back is also printed, which is why the price reflects that. It’s the Challenger tail lights (it’s pictured on the product page.)
I am excited for the next Challenger t-shirt design I am making! It’s based on my car’s theme song. If you car doesn’t have a theme song, you are driving the wrong car.
Pattern Collections
The gift for for music lovers!
I am proud of my re-edits of the vector guitar art I did. I straightened out the lines so they sit perfectly and then made two other guitars!
If you know someone who is a guitarist, this framed print would look amazing in their recording studio or practice room!
I also made them into patterns on two different colored backgrounds. One a neutral gray, and the other an oxblood color with a subtle animal print.
In the near future, I will purchase this festival bag because I actually design things I like and would wear. Not a crop top, but I made them in regular shirts too! But I know that crop tops will work for someone out there!
The concept behind this one was childhood memories. I had a lavender tote bag with a unicorn and rainbow. I had to save it from getting thrown out, but after moving a few times I cannot find it. I was also inspired by the girl’s section at Target. They had all these cool designs, but for little girls. Well, this is for adults. We can wear cute unicorn pajamas too!
The “RAWR” bag is something I custom designed for one of my friends. If there is any interest, I can add it to the store.
Be a mermaid at the gym in these Sea Siren Yoga Pants!
My friend was gifted this Sea Siren Carry All Makeup Bag on her birthday! I want one myself! This one is made in Canada.
Just don’t wear everything together, it just looks crazy!
This was actually a lot more complicated than it looks! I painted this in watercolor, scanned it in, and vectorized it in Illustrator. Then I had to clean up the edges. It could have been a lot simpler to make, but I do things the hard way!
I was very pleased with the printed result on this table runner. Here is my tablescape for last year’s Christmas Dinner. This year I won’t be seeing anyone, but that’s alright. I might still dress up the table for fun!
Do be sure to measure your table before ordering. Runners should hang off the ends of the table, but not so much that your legs get caught in them. If nobody is sitting on the ends, then longer is fine.
Because it’s an animal print and that is considered a neutral, it looks great on regular clothing and accessories!
I needed something a little more wearable to women. Lots of the prints are fun, but not everyone’s style, which is fair. I’m not a fan of yoga, but I do like the lotus pattern I created! This might be the gift for the woman in your life who loves to do yoga!
The yoga collection wouldn’t be complete without yoga pants! I also have shorts!
Ah junk food, how I miss you. Pizza is my favorite.
If you know someone who loves fast food, this gaudy patterned collection may be the gift for them!
I saw a shirt online that I wanted. But before purchasing from a store I have never heard of, I wanted to read the reviews. Then I took a closer look. While computer mockups aren’t necessarily bad, I use them! Something seemed weird and then I realized I had seen this image before on Pinterest as a cellphone wallpaper. It was possibly stolen artwork that wasn’t even at a print resolution. I did a reverse image search and it came up on multiple websites that all looked the same, with the same clothing, but a different name. Also the reviews stated it was a scam and they never received their order! So I made my own version. It’s not the same artwork, I made something new. The rainbow was super hard to do using my finger on a track pad! I am hoping to earn enough money to buy an iPad Pro so I can use Procreate!
As soon as I saw the computer mockup of my work on these yoga pants, I immediately placed an order and I am very happy with the results! Here they are, really hanging up in my back yard, not a mockup!
Face Masks
Maybe not everyone’s idea of a fun gift but it’s practical! I seem to need a lot more face masks than I think!
These masks are made in Canada and are a lot more comfortable and much easier to breathe in than the masks I sold earlier in the Spring. They come in 4 adult sizes and 3 child sizes. Be sure to measure your face accurately, I bought a medium for myself and I actually needed a small. A mask that doesn’t fit will only drive you crazy!
They come untied so have someone help you tie them around your ears. They also come with a tag inside, I suggest trimming them off so it doesn’t tickle.
Below is my Banshee Queen mask! I want to do more World of Warcraft armor inspired masks eventually.
New Travel Bags for Makeup and Toiletries!
I have a new vendor that I have been using for my repeating patterns. They are made in China, so the shipping time is a tad long and I cannot guarantee delivery by Christmas. But they are speedy in production, I give them that. But the actual shipping is in the hands of the airline and USPS.
If you have been a long time reader, you know that my original intention for this brand was to design my own makeup bags. Like the actual design of the bag with pockets and handy slots. I couldn’t afford the process, so I rely on print houses that print on demand and ship directly to you.
I only wish they were printed on both sides!
I am pleased with the branding set that I pay extra for!
Pictured below is what the interior looks like, so you know what you are purchasing!
The Jetsetter- If you don’t want to travel with your makeup in here, I think it could be a good case to store your socks and underwear. It’s not padded enough to use as a laptop case. I have those in the shop too!
Large Travel Bag – Which isn’t that large. Scroll above for size comparison to the Jetsetter.
Small Travel Bag
Pencil Case- This is definitely a good makeup bag for your purse!

This year I am offering Free Shipping on orders over $49. Use the code SMALLBIZ to save!
To sweeten the deal, I am also sending you a free gift, a Unicorn Party Sticker Sheet as a thank you for your business. Please see this page for the small print.
If you subscribe to the newsletter, you will receive a code for 15% off.
I know there are no reviews online, but my business is real! You are indeed supporting an individual who pays out the nose for this business to run! I have created a Google Shopping page so now my customers can leave a review! If you have previously purchased, please let others know what you think!
I do purchase items to check the quality and to prove it’s legit! And I most definitely wear and use my own products from my brand, no BS!
The items I personally have in stock are the Unicorn Party sticker bundle and the Challenger In Flames holographic sticker. I have the mailers ready to go, and I will be sure to get these stocking stuffers to you before Christmas!
The rest of my items are made in various printing houses. I use several companies, and depending on the items, they ship from the USA, Canada and in China. Unfortunately the ones from China take a bit of time to actually ship, but they are pretty quick with production!
If you need to contact me and ask me about specific items, please feel free to do so. However some items, I do not know and I hate to tell you that. For example, Gooten is a service I use and they have other companies print the products and I don’t know where they’re from. I also cannot give you exact production and shipping dates. I don’t make them myself, and I never see them. They are sent directly to you so they can get to you faster. I would love to wrap them all nice and put them in pretty packaging, but it’s more important that they arrive on time to your house.
The Shop App I mentioned above really is a great way to track your order and see where it is on a map!
My goal for this business it to make enough money to produce these items myself! I’d love to either screen print or buy a DTG machine. Short term, I want to buy a Cricut so I can make my own foil print t-shirts and makeup bags to sell! We all have to start somewhere and Drop Shipping is what I can afford. It has not been an easy journey and there’s a lot of crying running a small business by myself. But I am determined!
Now to support other Small Businesses!
If you hate my stuff, then maybe you’ll like what these businesses have to offer instead!
Shop Delfina- I’ve ordered from Delfina a handful of times. She carries sublimation Bear Dance tank tops for a very affordable price.
Laser Kitten– She is doing a whole haters collection and I am loving it! I remember every single mean thing said to me and about my artwork. I love that she is turning rotten worm filled lemons into wait— you don’t want that as lemonade. Forget that analogy. Check out her pins, I’m sure you have a friend who will appreciate at least one of them!
Margarita Bloom- Regina makes the cutest bath products! Her website is gorgeous and organized by theme! I bought several earlier this year and my friends loved their gifts! Be sure to follow her on Twitter! She will fill your timeline with beauty and positivity!
Classy Miss- Check out a brand new cosmetic brand! They are having a 60% off sale on Black Friday and this is such an amazing price! I have posts on their magnetic eyelash kit and liquid lipsticks. This company is owned by my childhood friend and his fiancee. If you want to support a black owned and latina owned small business, please consider my friends!
Six Degrees of Hapa– As a multiracial person myself this is a brand that speaks to me! Naomi does super cute illustrations!
Cupcake Polish- I adore these holographic and glittery nail polishes!
Holy Flaps- Mugs and other ceramic goods with vulgar sayings. I have never related to anything so much in my life.
Buffalo Lovely- Actually… this too! More ceramics with real personality!
Han Cholo- Music, gaming and 80’s nostalgia in the most awesome handcrafted accessories!
The following beauty brands I have covered in the past! They hand-make their products! The highlighters are definitely worth getting!
Anything on Etsy! It’s the best place online to support small businesses!
If you insist on buying from a larger company (I know, it’s easier and it’s what people want) sign up to Rakuten to get Cash Back. It’s no scam, it’s real and I have earned over $800 in cash back over the years since it has been eBates.
Disclaimer- This blog post is to promote my own brand, I Need This Unicorn. I’m a struggling small business that needs some love.
None of the other stores linked know that I am promoting them. Many don’t know I exist! I do not receive any kickbacks from any of them, I just want to support them!
The Sticker Mule link is a referral link and I earn $10 if you make a purchase from them. That money will go towards more sticker designs!
The Skillshare link is a referral link that will earn me a free month subscription.
The Rakuten referral link will earn me money if you use Rakuten. This costs you no money, it actually gives you a rebate on purchases you are already making!
I am not sponsored by the Shop app or Shopify.
