Did you have a conversation like this with your nosy family on Thanksgiving?
“No Auntie, I’m not dating anyone, I’m single now… no it’s not my fault… he ghosted me and is dating someone else… no she’s a potato…it’s not like I wanted to be single… okay but…. really….yeah yeah okay auntie…”

Always with the weight comments! You’re too fat! You’re too skinny! If you were at their ideal weight, they’ll find something else to criticize. Honestly, if you turned that question around on them, I assuming it wouldn’t go well.

The scenarios are completely made up! But I hope it gave you a laugh! These are meant to be humorous! I did not experience any of that on Thanksgiving (It was only 2 of us). My mother passed away and she never gave me crap about my life choices or my relationships. She always understood who I was and respected that. My dad never pressures me either. But this isn’t about me! It’s about all of you, who needs an understanding friend. Here I am to comfort you…. with shirts.
