I wanted to post some quick swatches of a few things from the Kylie Cosmetics 21st Birthday Collection and the Summer 2018 collection.
I know it’s difficult to know what colors will look good on you since the majority of the customers will not be able to swatch them in person. You can, if you go to the pop up shop in Century City, but what are the chances of that? Most of you probably can’t. So I am here to help the fair skinned see how the lip colors will look on you. I find that Kylie’s lip colors almost always look darker and pull very warm on my NC15 skin tone. Most of them look straight up brown on me.
Everyone else I have seen these colors on, has a darker skin tone on me. While the colors may look really great on them, it always looks different on me. Kylie Cosmetics is having the last restock of her Birthday collection going on now, so I hope you find this on time and are able to determine if these colors are for you!
I am also including a few things from the current Summer Collection because it’s still a current collection. I highly, highly recommend the super glitter glosses. They are so pretty and pack a punch.
I really wanted the Sippin Pretty Eyeshadow Palette, but at $65, it was too much for me to spend right now. And honestly, I own shadows like the majority of them. It’s time to chill.
The review on the lip liners are coming up! Now that I have Twenty One and Tipsy, I have to re-take the photos.
One thing I wish for this collection is that the end of the pencils had the actual color. The cap is fine, the liquid lipstick packaging is cute as is. But when I store them in my pencil holder, I want to know at a glance that I am grabbing the one I want.
The top 2 are swatches of the Matte Lip Kits from the 21st Birthday Collection. Flirtini and Glam are the regular lipsticks also from the Birthday Collection. Vacay is from the Summer collection. The regular lipsticks all have a matte finish.
Go Bananas is gold with pink reflects.
Don’t Slip is magenta with violet reflects.
Chill Peel is a lilac with blue reflects.
I know that it’s too hot for sweat pants, but if you Googled “Kylie Cosmetics”, you might be a fan. I am selling Heather Gray Sweatpants from the Kylie Pop Up Shop in San Francisco on my eBay account. If I can’t sell these by the winter, it looks like I am going to wear them.
