Get the Scoop and find thousands of new experiences and events near you!
As you may have noticed, I stopped posting on Instagram and Twitter. I have recently moved on to The Scoop!
It is an app where you can discover new things or share with others your own experiences. There are actually several apps named The Scoop, but linked below is a page that will take you to the QR code to download the proper one.
I’d say it’s like Instagram, where you can post pictures and tag the location. But also like Yelp where you write a review… or rather write about your authentic experience. It doesn’t have to be a place or an object! You can learn more the app here: https://thescoopapp.com
I post the content I used to post on my two of my Instagram accounts. Restaurants, Limited Edition Food, Concerts/Festivals (rather I will when I start going to them again), and of course my beauty blog content!
Because the app is so new, they are encouraging users to post by enticing them with contests. Let me tell you, it works! So far I have earned $37 from their Scoop-a-thon! To be clear: This is not a money making app. They just hold contests from time to time to encourage participation. They recently did a $25 prize for someone who made their first post. It really does make it more fun! I don’t know how long the incentive will last so I’d sign up now and get some posts ready!
Saying that, the best part is that you can save your posts as a Work In Progress before you make the post public! I believe it is saved locally on your device and not on their server.
Reading about other’s experiences really does work! So far, I seem to have a bucket list of places I should visit. I follow a beauty reviewer that goes by That Thirties Glow covers skincare and cosmetics. Because of her review, I went and bought some Jason Wu lip products at Target! So this is really a great app to not only discover restaurants or cool places to visit, but also skincare and makeup!
Right now, there is not a desktop version, though there may be planned sometime soon. Right now, you can preview one of my posts on the web: https://s.thescoopapp.com/post/2JwxRwjnk
On that page, there is a QR code to download the app. Be sure to find me and give me a follow! I have many plans for October, so the content should keep coming for this month!
Disclaimer: I do not work for The Scoop, nor am I am getting paid to refer people to the app.
