Glamlite is one of those brands not to be slept on! Not only are the eye shadow formulas super pigmented, but the packaging is I-wish-I-did-this creative! Just look at the Frosted Flakes loose highlighter packaging. It’s a cereal bowl! WHAT!
Glamlite may be intimidating to people less familiar with makeup because of the varied (perhaps seemingly chaotic) color stories. But trust me, you don’t need to wear the whole thing at once! You can go tame or go wild! Most of these mega palettes have limitless possibilities! Is the green eyeshadow scary to you? That’s alright because they also have neutrals! (For me it’s the purples that is a major selling point!) The newest Barbie collection has me needing that unicorn! The pinks! The purples! Will I wear the blues? Absolutely not! But I will still get this and wear the rest!
Unfortunately for me I tend to unintentionally cover brands whose owner or has collaborated with an influencer who had been in controversy. Hopefully that has died down by now. I don’t know Mikayla, I didn’t know who she was when the very first collab came out, I only figured it out once she popped on on the FYP page of TikTok. All I can tell is, I don’t know what her life is like and I cannot judge her. I have to feel empathy for anyone who has reached a breaking point, it doesn’t matter whose problems seem bigger. And maybe she has a point. I don’t know the context of exactly what she meant, but I gather being an influencer means you are constantly judged and that has to be frustrating. I’m actually glad I’m in a spot where no one knows me or even cares.
Glamlite has been a brand I have been a fan of since they came out with the infamous Pizza Palette. I’ve reviewed their Meat Lover’s Slice and Cake Palette previously. Their formula is so pigmented and ideas super creative. I am so impressed with the level of quality Glamlite puts into their products. At the very end of this post I have some more examples of their creative palettes and packaging. These will make amazing gifts to a makeup lover or a makeup-wearing fan of whatever the theme of the palette is!
Last month Glamlite announced that the Mikaya Paht 2 collection would be in CVS stores! Very exciting news that this brand is more accessible and that I can use my Extra Bucks and coupons! I ended up getting so many Extra Bucks back that my CVS purchase the next month was a mere 30 cents! The total should have been $30!
What should have discouraged me was that I am not a fan of green makeup! It’s just not for me! I’m sure people who LOVE green are loving it and that’s really great. But I bought it anyway because it’s Glamlite and was there sitting in front of me. And it was no mistake! Most of the shades are wearable in my opinion, and the metallics are just a dream!
The First Mikayla Palette
This is the palette I had wanted for months and I finally got it earlier this year when they had a 30% off promotion. I was so glad to finally get this because I love all of the purples! The gold shifting Glow Up and Accent are really great all-over-the-lid shades, and the corals (Simba and Buffalo Chicken) warm up a look! I took this palette with me to LA and Vegas when I went for my birthday vacation.
Mikayla Paht 2
That is not a mistype. If you don’t sub to MakeupTok, then Mikayla’s heavy Boston accent hasn’t been on your FYP.
This collection is predominantly green. It’s not my color, but that’s okay but it is her color and the shade that many others would love! It’s not all green, you have purples, golds and blues too. I also don’t like to wear blue eyeshadow, despite it being my favorite color. But the sparky light blue shade I Love You is spectacular when used with the purples! Try using it as the center of a halo eye! It’s super pretty! I couldn’t pass up this palette because of the purples and the fact that I know I like the brand’s products. It couldn’t ever disappoint me!
I was so happy to see that a local CVS had the collection in-stock. I used the CVS app to find he location nearest me. These photos are from the same store, a week and a half apart. I was able to get products here and on the CVS app. I had some regrets not buying it all, so I went and got them online. It worked out because I earned some coupons from the previous purchase. Then I went and bought extras in person cause I had to buy them for my friends as gifts!
Eyeshadow Palette
Both Palettes Compared
The glitter packaging is super fun and cannot be cheap to produce!
Highlighter
I like this highlighter palette so much that I bought three! Two were for friends! They had to experience the joy that is this bomb diggity palette!
10-Color Palette
I bought a few items on the CVS app. I actually ordered a highlighter palette but got this instead. I hate the hassle of returning items so I decided to just keep it. I don’t like to wear green, but I like the brand’s formula and it’s only 3 of the 10 shades I would shy away from. The Butterfly looks like it will be similar to Mac’s Club and even though it has a green shift, the duo-chromatic shade is kinda too cool to not try! It looks like this 10-pan palette was super popular and sold out first.
Lip Kits
While I don’t generally prefer nude lipstick, it’s kinda necessary in certain looks. The darker lipstick, in the Golden Dreams set gets used more than the lighter nude for me. Golden Dreams is a gold sparkle lip gloss and the gloss in Lucky Charms has a green shift. I am glad they went with a normal cream lipstick instead of a liquid one!

Brush Set
These are the some of the products that launched them into popularity:
The infamous Pizza Palette
The Pizza Palette was on sale and I thought it might be discontinued. (I am not certain.) But I thought I had better jump on it! I am a huge fan of the Meat Lover’s Slice! From that blog post, you can see that I am real big on pizza. I just had some yesterday and today in fact.
The packaging is a freakin PIZZA BOX!
Paint Palette
I’m an artist, I knew I would be one since I was little. I wouldn’t recommend it. I should find everyone who encouraged me when I was young to tell them they were wrong. They probably should have encouraged math or technology or something. But anyway, this is too freakin cute that it’s actually palette shaped! I had the caterers at my wedding pass out appetizers on paint palettes to represent us.
The packaging looks like it is a paint set. The fact that the paint palette also comes with a brush is amazing! I also want the pastel version!
I really hope that CVS sees Glamlite’s worth and invites them to expand their offerings in-store! Also expand them to more stores! The CVS I normally go to didn’t have it, but thankfully, there are four on the main street in my city alone! I really want to see the new Barbie collection in the store. There’s something about it being so accessible, and in person that makes me more likely to buy it. Where I would mull over it and try to budget myself when buying online. Plus CVS has Extra Bucks! You can earn enough rewards to pay 30 cents on your next purchase!
If I didn’t forget my bag, (as usual) I might have paid 20 cents!
