Horror story moment: I placed this spell book purse onto a pumpkin for a photo, little did I know it was a rotted pumpkin and thousands of bugs came flying out!
This is one eyeshadow palette I really wanted when it came out last year. However, I was too late both times it released and seriously missed out! This year, I was so determined to buy this, that I settled on buying a set because I didn’t see the palette by itself. I wanted to just pay $22 for the palette only, yet I did not see it. Maybe they had it, but not on the landing page. I was in a haste to not miss out so I just quickly picked a set and checked out. I wanted the Amok Amok Amok Amok glitter gel , but decided I had already spent too much! I spent $53.78 on the set! Yikes!
I was rather disappointed with this year’s palette called Witching Hour. Gather Round Sisters, just seemed to capture the essence of the witches, but Witching Hour didn’t interest me. I am sure the colors do have a story on how they relate to the film, but I felt very “meh” looking at it. I would have liked the Super Shock shadows though! Had I bought the palette by itself, and only spent $22 I might have picked them up since they’re only $7 a pop and all colors I would definitely wear. The Binx mirror is really cute and it looks like the candle was the #1 in demand item. Hell no to the spider face stamp though. Just no to fucking spiders in any form!
Mary Sanderson Lip & Eye Set, $49
Because I didn’t want to risk the palette running out, I hastily picked a set. The purple eyeliner and the coolness of the red lipstick was the deciding factor. I think I would have liked the Flirty Witch’s lashes better. But the purple eyeliner makes me happy! I could have saved myself so much money if I went on Colour Pop’s site later. The palette by itself was on the landing page and not sold out. Oh well!
This palette takes inspiration to the wardrobe of the Sanderson sisters. It’s definitely not every color in their dresses, but I love what they chose! These colors go together very well! The coolness of this palette is different than the warm orangey ones we typically see. With this and the Pricked palette, I sure have my fall bases covered!
I am not an olive green fan but it perfectly represents Winnie’s dress. I tried a look with it and I actually do not hate it. It looks great with the other colors.
My favorite is the metallic red-violet, Thackery Binx! I am often grabbing Wench, Night of Frolic and Dead Man’s Toe as well.
Love this palette! I am glad I finally got it!
I Smell Children! Lux Lipstick Kit, $16
I don’t wear red lipstick, so this is outside my comfort zone! But all they had were red. Oh well, Jessica, you’re getting a red lipstick! I thought I’d try it instead of gifting it to someone else. I like the illustrations on the packaging (except for the spider!) and the fonts they used. I can tell you, my arachnophobic ass doesn’t prefer the spider imprint on the bullet!
The great thing is that it comes with a matching lip liner, and you definitely need a liner with red lipstick! The lip liner is strong and pigmented. This formula should keep the lipstick from bleeding. With red, any mistake is noticeable!
On my nails, I am wearing two Cupcake Polishes layered: Aurora Borealis and Atomic on top.
Trick Or Treat Creme Gel Liner, $8
I love purple liner. this actually shows up on my waterline. It has a pearl sheen to it . I do not regret this item at all! To make my eyes darker, I use a black gel liner first and after it sets, then this purple liner. It still shows up!
This is a purple that leans more brown, it works this way!
Clever Witch false eyelashes,$9
These are very subtle on me. I’d consider them starter lashes for those not used to seeing themselves with false lashes on. For me they’re way too short and subtle. I naturally have short little pathetic lashes, these only add some volume, but no length. This will be my “I don’t want to scare people with crazy lashes today” look. Which is unexpected for witch themed lashes.
You can purchase this collection for a limited time on Colour Pop’s website and Ulta. Grab them before Max and Dani foil your nefarious plans of extending your makeup collection!
The Spell Book bag is from Spirit Halloween, for $22.
Location photos are at Cool Patch Pumpkins in Dixon, CA. Pay them a visit and go to the World’s Largest Corn Maze! Also buy your pumpkins here! I got 2 large, 1 medium and 5 tiny pumpkins all for $22! It’s such a great deal and you are supporting the farm! I made a post about it on Scoop!

I hate spiders and all the nasty bugs. It’s all true.
