In TikTok-made-me-buy-it news, I saw this amazing indie makeup product on Jazlmao’s video. A stunning color changing duo-chromatic liquid lipstick! We have seen color shifts in lip colors, but never like this before! It went super viral once Nikkitutorials got ahold of it, and rightfully so!
These Chrome Color Change Lipsticks can only be purchased on the Chaotic Cosmetics website. Please be patient with them, they are a small business who blew up on TikTok and they have been doing their best to keep up with their orders. I promise, it is worth the wait! I ordered in mid-January and received it in early April. I fully expected this and did not mind the wait, since I knew they were popular and were doing pre-orders. At the time they were $18 each, and I see that they had the slightly raise the price to $20. We can blame inflation! I am sure the cost of supplies went up beyond their control. (I make things too, I know!)
These look different in different lighting situations. You can see the shift best in low-light, but the metallic sparkle in full light.
Mood Ring: Shifts from a magenta- plum to green and gold.
Purple Gem: Mostly cobalt blue, but it does shift to purple. The shift is a lot more subtle, in certain light, you can see the shift to purple from blue. But it’s not obvious unless you were looking for it. I can see the rainbow shift in the bottle, but I don’t know if it can be achieved on the lips.
They have to be the dry-down liquid lipstick formula because it would never work as a cream lipstick. I have a feeling these would pack an extra TikTok trend-worthy impact if layered with the Queen Cosmetics holographic glosses! Is it too extra? Do whatever you want! It’s your face and you are allowed to express yourself however you please!
In this quad, I am using a lightbox. You can’t see the color change as drastically, like in low light. But it’s still there!
I appreciate the little freebie stickers I got, especially the Metallica one! Nice touch for the customer experience!
There are a ton of other products from their brand that interest me, I will be purchasing more in the future!
