Over the past two years, I’ve stepped away from this blog to focus on personal matters. It began on April 28, 2024 when my mother-in-law was rushed to the ER. It ended April 20th of this year when my father-in-law passed just before midnight. It has been a horrifying time. I cannot put into words how exhausted I am.
He died last Monday and we already had to deal with a lot of drama! The caregiver we hired, felt free to rack up unauthorized charges his credit card. Now the plumbing is leaking in the slab at our house. It’s been a non-stop crisis. We have reported the theft and fraud to the appropriate institutions for them to deal with. The plumbing repair has been scheduled. Now it’s time to take care of things that have been put on hold. Returning back to I Need This Unicorn is a step back to normalcy. I am working on various posts and overwhelming myself with all the photos I took over the past two years and deciding if it’s worth it to even write about products that were released so long ago. A lot of them are indie brands, so it may be worth it to spotlight a small brand.
I want to write a post about my father-in-law and his life. We have been gathering photos to scan but then had to put them away due to the flooding that is potentially going to happen.
