The Half Magic Beauty x Euphoria makeup collection captures everything that made the HBO series feel visually unforgettable. This collection consists of sparkling glitter duochromes, rhinestones, eyeliner tools for that sharp Maddy-like liner and her signature glossy lip. Created by Donni Davy, the Emmy-winning makeup artist behind Euphoria’s iconic aesthetic, the collection transforms the show’s dreamy, emotional makeup style into wearable products designed for maximalists, glitter lovers, and anyone who still misses the chaotic magic of Euphoria’s early seasons.
The first season of Euphoria was like a fever dream, especially now that its entire tone has changed for season 3. The screen was washed in purple, drifting through someone’s memory, Rue’s depressed narration, slow motion mixed with harsh spotlights, light shifting from blue to red spilling across bedroom walls, glitter catching under the light, and Labrinth’s dreamy vibey music made it feeling like you were floating. It was Rue’s drug-induced high made into film. It was an entire feeling.
Part of what made early Euphoria feel so hypnotic was the lingering influence of Petra Collins’ signature visual world. Collins was originally attached to the project in its early stages before being fired for “being too young”. Whatever that means. For years viewers have pointed out the similarities between her dreamy, hyper-feminine photography and the atmosphere that would later define Euphoria’s first season. Her vision contributed to much of the show’s identity, helping create the purple-glowing, glitter-drenched mood that became instantly iconic. Her exhibition called “24 Hour Psycho” from 2016, was the key inspiration with the colored lighting, glitter tears and depressed women. If you are interested in familiarizing yourself with her work, here is her official website. She has many books for purchase including newest one called, “Star.” You may be interested in “Fairy Tales” a collab with Alexa Demie. I have them both and I enjoy the artistic visual storytelling.
None of Euphoria’s atmosphere would have hit the same way without Labrinth. His music didn’t just accompany the scenes, it became part of the emotional architecture of the show itself. Put any other music, and it just don’t hit the same. Ethereal choirs, distorted vocals, pulsing bass, gospel influences, eerie synths, and raw emotional vulnerability blended together into something that felt hypnotic. Songs like Still Don’t Know My Name and All for Us turned already beautiful scenes into something transcendent, wrapping the characters in this dreamlike haze of longing, loneliness, euphoria, and emotional collapse. His soundtrack gave the glitter a heartbeat. Even now, hearing those songs instantly brings back flashes of purple lighting, glitter tears, the cinematography at the bowling alley and the surreal emotional intensity that made early Euphoria feel unlike anything else on television. I would love to see him perform at Outsidelands, but a 1-day ticket costs more than this entire collection! He has a new album coming out on May 29th called The Cosmic Opera Act II. So when rewatching Season 3 (if you can bear it) play his album over the Hans Zimmer tracks. He is a fine composer… but Labrinth is Euphoria’s composer and from what I heard, he was treated unfairly and he had to pull out of the show.
Beneath all the glitter, the music and the chaos were characters that made the show emotionally unforgettable for me. I found myself especially attached to Lexi, Fez, and Maddy. Three completely different personalities who somehow brought warmth and humanity into such a self-destructive world. Lexi is the more relatable being an INFJ and emotionally regulated. If being normal is boring, fine! I will take it! I can also appreciate Fez’s unexpected softness, perceptiveness and he always told the truth. Maddy’s fierce “I don’t give a FUCK” attitude but beneath it all, she cared… she cared a lot about the people who meant something to her. These characters gave the series emotional grounding beneath all the shimmer and heartbreak.
Part of what made early Euphoria so mesmerizing was the strange contrast at its center: Dazzling glitter makeup, dreamy purple lighting, and hypnotic Labrinth music layered over Rue’s deeply depressing narration. The show constantly balanced beauty with heaviness. One moment felt euphoric and dreamlike, the next painfully lonely and self-destructive. That contrast is what made the aesthetic hit so hard emotionally instead of feeling hollow. Beneath all the rhinestones and shimmer was Rue’s exhausted voice guiding viewers through addiction, numbness, heartbreak, and the feeling of drifting through life disconnected from yourself.
That feeling is exactly what Half Magic Beauty taps into with their Half Magic Beauty x Euphoria collaboration. The collection doesn’t just reference the makeup from the show, it recreates the mood of it. The wet-look glitter, the cosmic shine, the impulsive creativity of painting clouds around your eyes because normal makeup suddenly feels too boring. It’s makeup for glowing under violet LEDs while Mount Everest plays in the background.
In 2020 the beauty world became bland and increasingly minimal, beige, and “clean girl,” revisiting the unapologetic glitter chaos of Euphoria is a welcome comeback because I never left. Plenty of indie brands capture the Euphoria look, but it’s a nice treat that the Head Makeup Artist herself created a brand so we could also use the actual products they use. I wrote a past blog post when Half Magic initially came out.
I discovered Euphoria on TikTok where users would recreate looks. They always go harder than the actual looks on the show. The makeup artist’s creations are actually a lot more simple. But I also really love what people came up with. So bring on that glitter and the stones! Who cares how much you use?! The original aesthetic and the vibey Labrinth music may be gone, but the makeup department is still hitting on Season 3! I long to recreate Jules’ gorgeous ethereal fairy wedding guest makeup, Maddy’s Slay-At-The-Pool double wing look, and I even like Cassie’s glittery peachy pink eyelids. (Even though she’s become unsufferable.) I even spotted Kitty apply the lavender/blue duochrome Virtual BFF lipgloss! Yup, need that one in my collection!
The makeup influence is part of why the makeup from the show resonated so hard culturally. It wasn’t polished beauty in the traditional sense. Euphoria makeup felt emotional, impulsive, artistic. Half Magic Beauty captures that energy perfectly, translating that dreamy, glitter-soaked visual language into products that feel more like creative expression than everyday makeup. I think the only thing missing from the collection is Jules’ Face Lace designs. The brand technically still exists, but many of the original pieces are unavailable, including their collab.
I put together a curated Benable board featuring the Half Magic Beauty x Euphoria collection, products inspired by the show’s makeup aesthetic, and some of my favorite glittery essentials that capture that same dreamy glittery feeling. Some of the links are affiliate links and I will make a small percentage if you make a purchase from select partners of Benable.
The collection is available on Ulta.com, HalfMagicBeauty.com and on TikTok Shop. The entire collection as a bundle is $225 on HalfMagicBeauty.com.
I had to pull some tricks to spend as little money as possible while trying to get the whole collection! I purchased the major items first: the eyeshadow palette, Glitter Puck and Glitter Pill. Then I used my Ulta points, Fetch reward gift card and my PayPal balance I earned from affiliates for a few more items. Then I used a Half Magic coupon to get the rest!

Glitter Puck Pressed Fairy Dust in Feel Something, $34
The name Fairy Dust explains it perfectly. It’s a very fine glitter. Glitter Puck has a texture where it feels cool and damp in the pan, giving the glitter a smooth glide instead of the dry scratchiness pressed glitters sometimes have. It’s a lightweight sparkle that may look subtle in certain lighting and super glittery with a direct flash. Glitter Puck can be used on the eyes, as a face highlight, or as a body highlight. I like to use it as a topper to help enhance my eyeshadow look. I saw a TikTok comment by Donni herself, She says to store Glitter Puck flat. Otherwise, it could fall out of the packaging. So if you have one, remember to keep it flat and also try to keep it from drying out by closing the lid tight. Don’t just save this product for special occasions. There is plenty to be used and it will dry out eventually. Show it some love and use it!
I had bought the blue-based shade, Princess Ghost a few weeks before when it came out not knowing a Euphoria collab shade would be coming out. But I am glad I have both! Feel Something has a blue to purple flash which is right up my alley!

Face Gems, $15.50
The Euphoria Face Gems come in a mix of gunmetal and silver. There are many possibilities when it comes to applying face gems. Apply them along the lash line, as a wing, scattered…. Personally, I think these are best for photoshoot. They have medical grade adhesive, but it doesn’t mean it is resistant to coming off. For me, the stones have come off during a music festival. It’s all the sweat! I wore the spikes to the Deftones/ System of a Down concert in a cold, very foggy Golden Gate Park, and they eventually came off by the end because I’d knock them off accidentally. By all means, wear these to a party, a concert, the club or wherever you want! For myself, I will save them for a photoshoot where I think I will get the most out of them.

Glitter Pill in Glitter Tears, $27
Glitter Pill is a holographic glitter eyeliner. It may look silver like Microcosm, but the base in Glitter Tears is purple, while Mircocosm is a silver holo. They absolutely look different when applied.
Donni has a tutorial on how to achieve the glitter tears, especially for low light. Basically, apply a black base first so it stands out. This is mainly for your videos and photography or if you are recreating the scene with Rue gets high with Jules in season 1, ep 1. If you are going out and won’t necessarily be in low light, you decide if you need a base or not. I have used it as a supplement to my black liner, you could also scatter it as seen on Zendaya/Rue a couple of photos down.

Euphoria Palette, $59
This was the big ticket purchase! At about $10 a pan, and the small size it comes in, it was pricey in my opinion.
Each shade is a duochrome.
Rue- Purple to blue shift, which may look a tad magenta in certain lighting.
Maddy- Not just a gray, but Donni described it as a slate blue.
Lexi- Appears frosty white, Donni has described it as a multi-chrome with peach and mint.
Cassie-Is a peachy pink. It looks like Cassie is wearing this shade a lot during Season 3.
Jules- Olive green to gold shift.
Kat- The most shifty of the bunch. Kat has a Green to blue to purple shift. Kat’s shade and Rue are my favorites.

In the two photos above and one below, I applied eyeshadow primer. It didn’t dry down enough so everything looks very flat and the primer looks like it muddled down the duochrome effect.
In the two photos above, I used the flash on the iPhone to make sure the sparkles were shining. How it looks entirely depends on the lighting.
Magic Flik Eyeliner, $26 • Magic Flick Eraser, $26 • Wing Magician Stencil, $14
The eyeliner applicator is unlike one I have seen before and so far I think it has been working out! The eyeliner and the eraser have a flat edge and the slim edge actually extends down so you can try and get that wing flying! You can play with the line quality and go thick to thin by turning the pen slightly.
The Magic Flik Eraser has the same tip as the black eyeliner. It is very pricey when you could use micellar water and a pointed cotton swab. But I did use it when my wings got away from me and it did the trick. It gets dirty, and it will smear former black eyeliner if you aren’t cleaning it iff after you use it. It’s not so magic that it self cleans!
I like the Euphoria Wing Magician Stencil better than the original because this one is purple and glittery! This tool is supposed to help you get your eyeliner wings more even, and even help you with your cheek contour if you need it.

Beam Trap Illuminating Balm, $26
This is a duochromatic cheek duo. The white is actually a shifty pink, and the reddish pink has swirls of gold throughout. You can wear them individually or mix them together.

Cassie looks so flushed, if you wanted, you could achieve this look with this palette. Just avoid doing what Cassie did to get to this point!

B*tch You’re My Soulmate Extra Plush Lip Gloss, $24
Maddy’s signature line (other than “Bitch! You Better Be Joking!”) is now a rosy-brown lip gloss! For the size and price, I find this very pricey and it will probably get used up by anyone who owns it. It’s a neutral, easy-to-wear everyday color. I think it would have been fun to have a shade for every character! But Maddy is always a good starting point as she is most people’s favorite.

I think this shade is spot-on for Maddy’s lip color!

Other Brands Inspired By Euphoria
There are plenty of palettes and individual products out there named “Euphoria” We can’t be too sure if they named it to capitalize on the show’s popularity or just named their products “Euphoria” by pure coincidence because it’s an existing word. I don’t know if either of the following are a copyright or trademark issue, but none of it is my concern really. Wanda Cosmetics for example is absolutely inspired by the show with the cute illustration of Maddy and Cassie on the cover. Leslie even gets her own shade! (Sorry, BB!)
Pictured below: a lip gloss and eyeshadow palette from my favorite lip gloss brand, Queen Cosmetics. Now obviously Donni knows what she’s doing being the creator and director of the makeup. But I would have chosen a different color story after each character and Queen mostly nailed what I would have picked for each character. I say that Cassie is blue, Maddy is purple, Jules is pink, Kat is red, Rue is Burgundy and Lexi is orange. Fez is definitely green and I’d pick gray for Nate, but black works too! BB is a dark blue. Watching the show we see that the characters do NOT stick to one signature color. We do see Jules in that acid green, Maddy absolutely pulls of many colors, and Rue’s glitter tears are indeed purple, Cassie has been wearing her peachy pink palette color in Season 3, Lexi is white because she’s virginal. It’s a white that shifts pinky which represents her innocence. So Donni ain’t wrong. Donni knows better than anyone. I still would have picked the same shades Queen did though!
The Queen Cosmetics Euphoria palette is no longer available, I bought it in 2022 for $14. I am unsure if the Euphoria lipgloss will ever go back into stock, but it was the first product of theirs that I ever saw and I was hooked on this brand since seeing the video closeup of the holo glitter gloss being made! It absolutely captures that dreamy surrealness of season 1 with the purple and holographic glitters. It is one of my very favorite glosses from them!

Seeing how many indie brands were inspired by Euphoria really shows the impact the series had on beauty culture. The glitter, rhinestones, graphic eyeliner… it’s all escapism. I think that is part of why collections like this still resonate with me so strongly. Over the past few years, life has felt heavy in ways that are difficult to even explain properly. The caregiving, grief anticipation, loss, exhaustion, and constantly being pulled back and forth between responsibilities and survival mode. In moments like that, something as simple as purple eyeliner, glitter tears, or a makeup look glowing under neon light can become more than just beauty. It becomes atmosphere. Emotion. Temporary escape. A way to reconnect with creativity and feeling something other than stress and sadness for a while.
