Holographic and Glow-in-the-Dark Holiday Ornaments
I decided to try a new craft I had never attempted before, which can actually be a little dangerous with toxic fumes… resin. Working with resin can be challenging, but if it turns out, it looks absolutely amazing!
It wouldn’t be me if it wasn’t a little extra, so I used elements of holographic, iridescent, and glow-in-the-dark… sometimes all three at once! Like in these holographic stars as shown here:
Decorative Skulls
I have been making decorative resin skulls using holographic, and duo-chromatic pigments. My favorite ones are ones I purchased from Dreamland Watercolor. Those are amazing!!!
The holographic ones look pretty cool too!
Suncatchers
I first made this suncatcher with dried flowers for my friend, for her birthday. I showed a few other friends who said they liked them too, so I made a few for sale. They will come with a suction cup and chain installed.
Coasters
These coasters are holographic on the top side. The trick is the mold has a micro texture in the silicone. So it’s not a one-time thing, it can be used over and over again provided it doesn’t get damaged.
I will be sticking non-slip feet on these coasters for more functionality.
Animal Holiday Ornaments
If you don’t have any of those breeds, I have paw prints to cover both dogs and cats!
The ornaments with the hexagon glitters actually glow-in-the dark!
I do take requests if you want a certain color with a mold that you see. Just know that I only have one mold each, except for the holographic stars (6) and holographic coasters (4). And it will take 3-4 days of making and curing, depending on how many layers are required. Just email me jessica@ineedthisunicorn.com to make a request. If I do not reply, chances are it got caught in the spam filter. (Sadly this has happened a lot!)
Do not forget, I am still making the Glow-In-The-Dark Ribcage shirts I made for October! Halloween is all year-round!
