@ineedthisunicorn 🩻🎃I love working with the glow-in-the-dark puff vinyl! The next video will show how I made them! #halloween #spookyseason #october #halloweeniseveryday #ribcage #glowinthedark #halloweenlook #halloween2023 #cricut #diyfashion #crafty ♬ Disappear – Maniak-B
After my store being on hiatus for a long time, I have finally opened back up for business!
Just in time for Halloween, I have a few spooky handmade items for you! However, we all know Halloween is for everyday! These will be available until the next time I revamp my offerings.
Glow-In-The-Dark Skeleton Ribcage Tees and Tanks!
I wanted to wear something cool for Halloween, as well as make something… a little extra. So I made ribcage shirts, but not just any ribcage… a glow-in-the-dark one! I made them using smooth vinyl as well as a textured puffy one, (which is really fun to work with!) I made them on the expected black shirts, but I also wanted to try using a cotton candy-colored tie dye one… it turned out so much better than I expected! It is so stankin’ cute!
The drawing started as a pencil drawing in my sketchbook. I looked at references of ribcages, and stylized it. Then I scanned in my drawing, and took it into Adobe Illustrator. I usually do my vectors using the Pen Tool. But I thought it would take too long, so I used the trackpad on my MacBook Pro and traced it with the Pencil Tool. It’s not something I normally do! Years of gaming on a trackpad and using the Wacom Tablet, made this possible. I converted it to an SVG and used the Cricut machine to cut! Then I weeded the vinyl and used a Cricut heat press to press it onto the shirts! If you don’t want to go through all that DIY, you’re in luck!
I am offering a choice for the black shirts if you want the smooth vinyl or the puffy one. But for the cotton candy unicorn-colored tie-dye tank, I am offering only the puff because that is what looks best against the spiral tie-dye! I am really obsessed with how it turned out and I got my first order already!
The neck label will come with the original neck label unfortunately. I was able to have my own printed when I used a Direct-To-Garment printing company, but I tried making mine on the Cricut machine, and it’s nearly impossible for me to work with something so small. Shown are my own samples, with the tags cut off for a cleaner look to show as a sample.
Please keep in mind, I do not keep blank shirts in stock at my house. I have to order them wholesale online. I will order them immediately after receiving your order, but the time it takes to get to my house is not something I can speed up. So please allow at least 2 weeks for these to ship to me, get made, and then for me to ship to you! Believe me, if I had a warehouse and the funds, it would be faster!
If you need help with sizing, I have linked to the shirt brand’s size chart on the individual product pages and on here for your convenience.
We have the Unicorn Tie Dye: This is a Colortone 3400. Size chart.
Women’s Muscle Tank Top: This is a Bella Canvas 6003. Size Chart.
Women’s Muscle Tee with rolled cuff: This is a Bella Canvas 8804. Size Chart.
And a Unisex/Men’s Fit Tee. This is a Bella Canvas 3001. Size Chart.
As we have learned as children, we need to charge them with a bright light to get the best glow!
If you prefer a different kind of t-shirt, please let me know! You can email me jessica at ineedthisunicorn.com if you have a special request. Then I will make a listing for you!
If I can buy the tee at a wholesale website, then I can make it for you! This couldn’t be done when I was using DTG companies, so I am happy to offer customization!
@ineedthisunicorn Spooky season is officially here! But you know we dress like this all year ‘round anyway! 😉 How I made these Glow-in-the-dark Ribcage tops in the video! Rock Witch Hands Glow-In-The-Dark Die-Cut Stickers
Last year I designed these Witch hands stickers. I’ve seen them as skeleton hands, but never witch hands, so I drew them myself. I’ve been told I have “old crone hands” which is just great. Whatever, I’ll work with it. I made my own last year but hand cut the myself, not trusting the machine. Therefore, I am having these professionally printed by Sticker Ninja. It was worth the extra cost to have them professionally made because good quality glow-in-the-dark sticker paper only comes in 2 in a pack, and it’s hard to maximize the amount I can print when there is an offset! It was less frustrating to use a company and I am very happy with how they turned out.
Holographic and Duo-chromatic Skull Decorations aka Paperweights
These skulls would look amazing on your gaming desk, or your shelf behind your filming area! In the future I will experiment with more, like embedding items, or painting them. For now. holographic and duo-chrome is pretty enough for me! The listing is not yet up, but I will edit this post when they are!
I have other resin items I am working on, such as sun catchers, but they’re not finished yet. It’s the hanging part that need to be done.
Journals
As for non-Halloween items, I made a bunch of blank journals and music journals for the back-to-school season. They’re on Amazon, please give me a review if you do purchase one! It helps other people see my stuff when they do a search!
